The trigger speed is slow somewhere in the 3 to 5 second range. The quality of pics are clear and detailed. I use the 12 volt battery to get a longer field use the battery box somehows stays filled with water so be ready to drill a small drain hole to emlimate the problem.

I had this cam on my bow stand last year and was honestly blown away by the picture quality of both day and night shots. The flash itself has some serious range and easily outdistances other flash cams with crystal clear clarity. Battery life is marginal with about 45 days being the norm. I'd give it 5 stars but the slow trigger speed and wide detection range makes for some frustrating empty shots. Aimed at a food plot or feeder though and you will be hard pressed to get clearer photos. What a great value.
